Star Wars Battlefront 2- What we know so far
Action Nov 30, 2018
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the eagerly awaited follow up to the highly successful Star Wars Battlefront. Players are looking forward to continuing their adventures and playing as their favorite Star Wars characters. The sequel was developed by EA Sports, who were also responsible for the first game as well. Star Wars Battlefront was only based around the original trilogy.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is even better than it’s predecessor. Players are able to recreate all of the epic battles from single Star Wars film from before it’s release in late 2017. This follow up was designed to be more of the complete gaming experience compared to the first game. It was decided to give the game a better developed story line and fill in more of the background details as the first game did not refer back to much of the Star Wars saga at all.
A new feature of Star Wars Battlefront 2 is that you play the bulk of the game as a member of the imperial forces instead of any of the rebels. You play as Iden Versio, and you are part of the Empire’s efforts to avenge the death of the Emperor in Return of the Jedhi. At various parts of the game you get to take control of the likes of Darth Maul, Yoda and Luke Skywalker. This game is the official way of telling you of the events that link the original trilogy and The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 has seen the developers keep their promise of allowing you to play during any of the events depicted in all the films and provides details not previously shown or mentioned in the films themselves. You play out the story experiencing the viewpoints of both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. You can play out the entire saga from the beginning to the end.
Star Wars Battlefront II was released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. EA have reportedly made it 4K compatible ready for when Microsoft go live with Project Scorpio. There was the basic version of the game and the Trooper Elite special edition of the game available at the time of release. Those who pre ordered the special edition got to play the game three days earlier that everybody else did.
The game as you would expect allows you to play in single and multiplayer modes, allowing you to play with and against fellow Star Wars fans. In multiplayer mode you can take part in dog fights involving a maximum of 24 players. To improve your chances in dog fights there is a split screen view. That is useful when you are playing as part of a team.
Fans of Star Wars should find that Battlefront II has everything that they could possibly want to have in a video game. They can play out any part of the saga they want to do, it will immerse them into a galaxy far, far away.
